Missy

Missy’s personality: Missy is a gorgeous Sable Husky who celebrated her 2nd birthday on December 13! She’s a total sweetheart with a heart as big as her playful spirit. Missy is super loving and sweet, making her amazing with kids and other dogs. She’s even good with cats, meaning she could be the perfect fit for a multi-pet household.

This clever girl already knows how to sit and shake, and her recall is improving daily (she’s about 85% there!). She’s highly food-motivated and eager to learn more—especially if pig’s ears or chicken jerky are on the menu! Missy thrives on adventure and loves car rides, trips to the beach, swimming, and even visits to the groomer!

Missy’s ideal forever home: Because of her amazing nature, Missy will suit just about any home, including one with dogs, cats, or children. She loves human company and requires stimulation, activity, and regular outings.

Missy’s story: Missy was abandoned by her original owner and after coming into our care, she went straight to a beautiful foster home. Things went so well in her new home, that the family decided to keep her but her fence jumping has been an ongoing challenge for them. They have managed to break the habit but then a trip away or a different house sitter and the behaviour returns.

Like most Huskies, Missy has an adventurous (mischievous) spirit. She likes to get out and about, say hello to the neighbours and visit her friends - much to her parents’ dismay. Missy will need good fencing and would do best in a home with a companion.

Missy’s medical history: Missy has been desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, and treated for heartworm, fleas, ticks, and intestinal worms. She is a fit and healthy two-year-old girl!

More about Missy: As much as Missy adores fun and games, her favourite thing is being part of a family. She craves company and isn’t a fan of being left alone. Her clever and curious side might lead her to test her escape artist skills when the humans are away. Missy is the perfect mix of intelligent, loving, and adventurous.
