About Willis
Meet Willis – A Big-Hearted, Smooshy-Faced Sweetheart! 🐾
At just over 9 months old and already a cuddly 38kg, Willis is a smoochy Cane Corso x Neapolitan Mastiff with a heart as big as his paws! This loveable goofball is on the hunt for his forever family – one with experience in giant breeds and a solid understanding of the Cane Corso temperament.
Cane Corso’s are intelligent, loyal, and protective by nature, and they thrive with confident, experienced owners who can provide structure, leadership, and consistency. Willis is no exception! He’s affectionate and adores his people – once bonded, he’ll be your gentle, oversized shadow for life.
Willis lives with three dogs in foster care and has even lived as part of a pack of ten, so he’s well-versed in doggy dynamics. He loves to play with his furry foster siblings, especially during zoomies and tug sessions. Playtime can get a little rough and rowdy due to his size and strength, and he can be quite vocal when he’s having fun – but don’t let that put you off! It’s all part of his happy, expressive nature.
This gorgeous boy came into care after being hit by a car and abandoned by his previous owner. He had a broken leg, and just when that healed, he broke a toe after his cast was removed – poor guy had a tough start. Thanks to this journey, Willis is now crate trained, house trained, and toilet trained, making him well on his way to being the perfect indoor companion.
Willis must sleep inside where he feels safe and part of the family. He’s still discovering the big wide world, so ongoing socialisation, calm guidance, and positive exposure to new environments are essential for his growth into a confident, well-adjusted adult dog.
He also shares his home with a wary kitty, who isn’t too sure about his puppy energy and size, but we think a more dog-savvy, confident cat might do just fine with the right introductions. Willis is a chatty little character, often babbling to himself while rolling around or gently grumbling at his dog mates if they’ve got a toy he wants. His quirky, playful nature makes him a joy to be around!
If you’ve got a big heart, a sturdy couch, and the time and love to give, Willis might just be your perfect match. He would thrive in a home with a friendly, desexed female dog or as a solo pup if someone is home a bit more often than not.
Located in the Lake Macquarie area of NSW, Willis is ready to start meeting potential families! Are you his perfect forever?
