Bloom is to be rehomed with another small, friendly, well-adjusted socially confident dog.
Bloom will not be rehomed to a home with children under the age of 8 for a number of reasons.
The flower buds Bloom, Leaf, Twig, and Sprout are ready to find their forever homes!
Did you know? A puppy’s adult behavior is influenced by 60-70% of their DNA. The mother dog's stress levels at the time of conception and during gestation also play a pivotal role in shaping adult behavior. The rest is influenced by early socialisation, nutrition, and training which is where foster carers of a litter of puppies with largely unknown genetic traits come in!
Bloom, Leaf, Twig & Sprout have had a super start to life with not a moment or opportunity wasted to stimulate senses and build confidence in a safe and secure environment. Their carers have given opportunities for choice and have let them lead their own path without the constraints of strict rules and regulation. They have managed their environment to promote curiosity and body awareness and have been rewarded with incredible puppies who we believe will grow into fantastic dogs.
The first 14-16 weeks of a puppy’s life are critical in how they’ll manage stress as adults, if they experience too little, too much or too many negative experiences, they will take this with them for life. These puppies have not sat idly by while we simply manage basic husbandry and cleaning- instead they’ve been exposed to sounds, sights and smells that they’ll spend a lifetime with and we’ve let them show us what they’re ready for at their own pace. They’ve been out and about in their doggy pram, they’ve been to small events, they’ve been shopping, they’ve been handled with intention, they’ve been exposed to surfaces that feel weird and move beneath their feet like grates and skateboards and have not been forced to interact with anything they aren’t ready for. Their carers have given them a head start to socialisation to take the pressure off their new families when they come along two thirds into their critical socialisation window, and we are now looking for amazing people who will continue the work that the carers have put in to give them the best start in life.
Each puppy is as individual as the next and they have attempted to briefly but accurately describe each personality and needs to ensure we choose the right families for the right puppies and we will only rehome to those who we feel are capable, willing and sensitive to the needs of each puppy and who will continue their training and socialisation using only force-free reward based training methods.
Bloom:
Bloom is sensitive and shy in new environments. She values her alone time and heads to her crate when she needs her own space. She is extremely cuddly and a true companion dog. Don't let her initial shyness fool you, she is a force to be reckoned with when it comes to play. Whilst Bloom likes to play with her siblings she is also able to play alone or with her humans.
Please note: No application form will be sent....If you would like to make an application for Bloom, please MAKE SURE you also send us some detail on yourself and the home you are able to provide including your location, contact number, your dog and any other pets (if any), family members, lifestyle, exercise and mental stimulation you will provide, how often Bloom would be alone, where she will have access in the home, where Bloom would go if you went away and could not take her with you, ability to cover vet expenses, confirmation that you will sign up for the training package and any other information you wish to provide.
Medical notes
As Bloom is too young to be desexed she will be desexed when she is old enough at our cost. This will be done at our rescue vets Beverly Hills Animal Hospital or Beecroft vets
Each new home will be set up with an industry leading, science based, force free trainer for puppy school. These classes are not for training sit and stay, but to teach an understanding of body language and behaviour, preventing common undesired behaviours such as resource guarding and fostering a bond between puppy and guardian. The cost of this course is $250 which is to be paid by the adopter. The course will run for 5 weeks and will have 5 weekly live on-line classes and includes course material to keep including notes and homework and comes with a puppy pack valued at $80.
Additionally, each new home will also be given access to the carers Facebook group to keep in touch, organise play dates, ask questions and scroll through previous updates and educational content .
