About Froggy
Meet Froggy – A Sweet and Resilient Soul
Froggy is a 9-year-old female poodle with a heart as big as her soulful brown eyes. Once an ex-breeding dog, Froggy’s journey has been one of resilience and transformation. She came to us from the pound, neglected and abandoned, but has blossomed into a loving, gentle companion in her foster home.
Froggy’s sweet nature is undeniable—nothing seems to faze her. She has a calm and unbothered demeanour, making her a joy to have around. Initially, her love for food had us suspecting she might be expecting puppies (tadpoles, as we affectionately called them), but the vet assured us that she’s just a “chunky monkey” who needs a bit of exercise and a proper diet to get her back in shape.
Over the past four weeks, Froggy has truly come out of her shell. She’s completely crate trained, sleeping peacefully from 7 PM to 5 AM without any accidents or wake-ups. She’s also mastered the doggy door and enjoys wandering around the backyard, often trailing after her foster fur siblings with an adorable waddle.
Froggy’s favourite pastimes include soaking up the sun outside or curling up on the lounge to watch TV. She also loves short strolls around the neighborhood (nothing too far just yet) and exploring her foster home’s backyard. She’s started showing interest in toys, which is a wonderful milestone for her, and her playful side is emerging bit by bit.
This affectionate girl adores her foster fur siblings and thrives on cuddles and kisses from her humans. She’s always ready to lend a “helping paw” in the kitchen, eagerly pre-washing dishes and sneaking into the dishwasher when no one’s looking—a quirk that’s both charming and cheeky!
Froggy’s transformation from a neglected breeding dog to a loving, joyful companion is heartwarming. Her sweet, gentle nature and resilience make her a truly special dog. If she could talk, we’re certain she’d have countless stories to share, but for now, her big brown eyes say it all.
Froggy is looking for a forever home where she’ll be cherished and loved as much as she deserves. Could she be the perfect addition to your family?
My ideal home: Froggy is searching for a loving and patient home where she can continue to thrive and feel cherished. While she hasn’t been tested with cats or children, she’s shown nothing but love and excitement for everyone who visits her foster home. She greets new faces with wagging tails and a happy demeanor, making her a friendly and welcoming companion.
Froggy’s new family will need to support her ongoing weight management journey, helping her lose the 3–4 kilograms recommended by her vet. A combination of a healthy diet and gentle exercise—like short walks and playtime in the backyard—will be essential to keep her happy and healthy.
She would do best in a home where someone is around most of the time. Froggy adores being near her humans, and having a consistent presence would help her feel secure and loved. She’d also thrive with another small breed dog around her age. A canine companion would encourage her playful side and provide her with a buddy to waddle around with during the day.
If you’re looking for a sweet, loving, and low-maintenance companion who will reward your care with endless affection, Froggy could be your perfect match!
My energy level: Froggy is a true sun lizard and couch potato at heart. She loves nothing more than lounging in the sun or curling up on the couch to watch TV with her humans. Her calm and laid-back nature makes her the perfect companion for a relaxed household.
That said, Froggy will benefit from a short daily stroll to help her with her weight management and to keep her healthy and happy. While she’s not a high-energy dog, she enjoys gentle walks around the neighbourhood and waddling in the backyard with her foster fur siblings. Froggy’s energy level is ideal for someone looking for a low-key companion who enjoys a mix of relaxation and light activity.
My suitability to children: Untested, however children over 10 years is recommended
My suitability to other cats or dogs: Cats untested. Dogs yes, small to medium breed that isn't super active and can give her, her space when needed.
