About Remco
Meet Remco – Your Loyal and Loving Companion
Hi, I’m Remco! My foster family calls me Remi, Monkey, or “the baby” because, well, I’m just that loveable. I’ve been living with some amazing doggy foster siblings who’ve shown me the ropes, helping me become the best boy I can be. I adore other dogs, so having a fur sibling to share my adventures with in my forever home would be awesome!
I’ve mastered a lot already—I’m crate trained, toilet trained, and I even know how to use the doggy door. I cope well when left home alone and sleep peacefully in my own bedroom at night.
When it comes to meeting new people, I’m still working on my confidence. I can get a little worried when someone tries to say hello, so I’d feel more comfortable in a home without too many visitors. Luckily, my foster mum is a professional dog trainer, and she’s helping me build my confidence, walk nicely on a lead, and come back when called. She says I’m an incredibly loyal and loving companion who makes her smile every single day.
I’m looking for a calm, patient family who will help me continue to grow and enjoy all the love I have to offer.
My Ideal Home:
- A Calm and Quiet Environment: I’d thrive in a peaceful home with minimal visitors and a low level of hustle and bustle.
- Dog-Friendly: I love other dogs! A home with one or more well-mannered doggy siblings would make me very happy. Their company helps me feel more confident and secure.
- Patient and Understanding Owners: I need a family that understands I’m still learning to feel comfortable around new people. Calm, gentle guidance will help me continue to grow.
- Stable Adventures: I enjoy quiet walks on the beach or in the bush rather than crowded parks or busy cafes.
Active and Engaged: I love my walks, playtime, and training sessions. An active home that will keep up with my routine while also providing me time to chill would be perfect.
My Energy Level:
I’m still young at just 1 year old, so I’ve got some puppy energy! But thanks to crate training and guidance from my foster siblings, I’ve learned to relax. I enjoy a short walk and play session in the morning, followed by naps during the day. In the evening, I’m ready for more play and training time. A few times a week, I love longer walks on the beach, and I even tag along with my foster mum to work twice a week!
My Suitability to Children:
I could live with dog-savvy children, but because I need a calm environment and some management when visitors come over, an adult-only home might be better for me.
My Suitability to Other Cats or Dogs:
Living with another dog is a must for me! Their presence boosts my confidence, helps me navigate the outside world, and keeps me emotionally balanced at home. Plus, I love to play—it’s the best energy outlet for me.
.....
Everything I do makes my foster family smile! I’m funniest when my lip gets caught on my tooth, giving me a cheeky grin. Oh, and I “talk” to the broom—I sound like a dolphin when I do it!
If you’re looking for a loyal, loving, and endlessly entertaining companion, I might just be your perfect match. I can’t wait to find my forever family!

We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
