About Coco
Not available for interstate apart from ACT.
PROFILE AND NEEDS IN A HOME
Coco must go to a home with another small dog or two to keep her company and guide her on lots of new adventures. Her new siblings will need to be friendly and well-adjusted but not too boisterous.
Her ideal home is a home with a garden in a quiet area and an adult only household or one with older children that are kind and gentle and understand her need for personal space to start. The energy of younger children can be quite overwhelming for Coco. She needs a home which is calm, patient and kind, where you will take the time to get to know her and her loving personality, so she feels safe and loved.
Previously Coco's had very little socialisation with humans and the big outside world. She can be quite vocal initially when meeting new people as this is very scary but with a bit of effort and time her affectionate side does come through.
Coco has shown signs of separation anxiety when left alone for longer periods of time. As such Coco will need a home where her new owner/s are home more often than not.
Coco is good in the car and is enjoying her 2 walks a day but while she is building her confidence around her new owner and other people when out and about, these are best done in quieter areas.
Coco is learning to sit on command and using the dog door. Her toilet training is coming along, and she now is able to take herself outside for her toileting. Your home will be a new environment for Coco, so you will have to set her up to succeed using only force free positive reinforcement training methods. Tips can be given if needed.
Coco likes to sit on the lounge and cuddle but at times still likes her personal space. At night she sleeps in her bed in the bedroom and will happily jump on the bed in the morning. Coco will need full access to indoors day and night and a home that will allow her to cuddle on the couch when she is ready and sleep in the bedroom.
Coco is not suited to apartment living.
