About Buckley
Buckley the 7 year old Spaniel mix is an incredibly charming and adventurous boy with a heart full of love! This active and playful boy is the perfect companion for an energetic family who loves to spend time in the great outdoors before crawiling up with you on the couch. Buckley is eager to be part of the action and will happily follow you on all of your adventures.
Despite having had a leg removed in the past, Buckley doesn't let that slow him down one bit. In fact, he gets around better with three legs than many dogs do with four - quick, agile, and clever, Buckley is always ready to play and explore.
He thrives in a family environment, especially with children aged 6 and older, and loves the company of other dogs. Buckley is a loyal and devoted companion, ready to bring joy and love into his new home. Having previously lived with another dog, Buckley is seeking a home ideally with another calm and cool canine companion - As long as they are not as cool as him.
If you're looking for a loving, energetic, and special dog to add to your family, Buckley just might be the perfect fit!
To book a meet and greet with this gorgeous boy Buckley please phone 5441-2209 or email barcreception@bendigo.vic.gov.au . Due to the high volume of emails received, Inquiries with a request for a specific appointment with phone details included will receive a response as priority over generic applications which state they are interested in meeting an animal.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
