Hey there, I’m Java! You might think I was named after coffee or an exotic
island, but really, I’m just a tall, agile, and ridiculously happy young dog ready to bring fun, security, and loyalty into your life.
I’m a medium-sized mixed breed with a love for adventure and a heart full of enthusiasm. I’m highly trainable, always eager to learn, and super motivated by attention and praise—so if you want a dog who listens and responds well, I’m your guy! I’m coming out of my more challenging puppy phase and really hitting my stride—I love training, learning, and making my people proud.

While I’m a happy, social dog, I also have a natural guarding instinct. I’ll always let you know if someone’s at the door or approaching the house—so with me around, you’ll never have an unexpected visitor! It’s not aggression, just my way of keeping my family safe. Once I see everything is okay, I relax and welcome guests like a true gentleman.

I’m a social dog who enjoys meeting new people and playing with other dogs. I’d do well in a home with another friendly dog since I’m not an alpha and get along with a variety of personalities. I also love kids and enjoy being part of an active family—though I can get a little excited, so I may be best suited to slightly older children.
