About Nikki
Please only apply for this greyhound if you have:
- A home with lots of love to give to this beautiful girl
Nikki is a friendly, affectionate girl who loves making new friends—human and canine alike. She enjoys her walks, though she’s still learning leash manners and can be a bit unsure at times, especially when she encounters something unexpected. Nikki has become more confident, enjoying walks through local shops (where she knows she’ll get pats!) and getting used to trams passing by.
She’s happiest with two short walks or one longer one each day, with plenty of time for sniffing. At home, she’s generally calm, though she’ll occasionally have a burst of energy and toss her toys around. Her favorite toys are a squeaky manta ray and a crinkly octopus, and she loves chewable treats.
Nikki is excited to meet new people, greeting them with a wagging tail and a big smile. She’s been calm around children during walks but may be a bit too energetic for young kids. She loves meeting medium to large dogs and would thrive in a home with another confident dog to boost her confidence. Nikki is still learning about small dogs and has shown interest in cats from a distance.
At home, Nikki enjoys following her foster mum around but is also happy to relax on her bed or the floor, as long as she can keep an eye on her family. She’s fine being left alone in the courtyard for a few hours and is getting more comfortable with car rides.
Nikki would do well in a family with older kids or teens, and she’s perfectly suited to apartment living, as long as she gets her daily walks and the occasional opportunity for some zoomies in a yard.
If you’re looking for a loving, social companion, Nikki could be the perfect fit for you!
[Note: Under Victorian Law greyhounds must be on-leash at all times in public areas, including in off-leash parks or ovals]
