About Larry
*In foster care in Manly, Sydney*
Larry is not your average cat—he’s a one-of-a-kind, people-loving, play-obsessed companion who refuses to be ignored! This little survivor came into care in rough shape, battling paralysis ticks and extreme malnourishment. After some TLC at the vet, he made a full recovery. Now in foster care, he’s thriving and ready to find a home as full of life as he is.
What makes Larry special?
-Runs to the door when someone knocks—he needs to know what pats and playtime await!
-Watches over his humans like a little guardian—where you go, Larry follows.
-Loves to play. Like, really loves to play. Toys, toys, toys are always on his mind.
-Affectionate on his terms (he’s still learning the art of cuddles and making fast progress).
-Loves a Chat! Larry is a chatterbox—he’ll meow to keep the conversation going and even growls back at the neighbor’s dog when it starts barking.
Like all Maggie's pets, Larry is microchipped, desexed and vaccinated.

MY IDEAL HOME: A family, group or individual who loves interactive, high-energy cats. Someone who understands that Larry is still learning how to be gentle in play. A home where he won’t be confined to a small space—this boy needs space and would thrive with an enclosed catteo space to play during the day!
MY ENERGY LEVEL: High-Energy Fun Machine! Larry has energy to burn and needs plenty of enrichment and active playtime throughout the day to ensure a restful night’s sleep (for both of you!). Wand toys, zoomies, and interactive games are a must to keep this playful boy happy and engaged.
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: Older children who understand that he’s still learning to be gentle would be a good match.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: We don’t know for sure as he’s always been a solo pet in care but we think he’d thrive with other pets to play with.
Medical notes
Larry was found with multiple paralysis ticks on his body and was hospitalised until he recovered. He currently has a shaved coat as a result of treatment, but he's now healthy and should experience no lasting effects.

Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
