About Konrad, the young and blue greyhound
If you are interested in Konrad, or any of our Greyhounds, we require you to fill in our application form - https://forms.gle/3bTG6XWQv49RPxJV6
Konrad is a big softy with a heart full of love and playfulness. Whether he’s running around outside, sharing space with other dogs, or enjoying a quiet moment alone, Konrad adapts wonderfully to different environments. He’s the perfect companion for families, single individuals, and dog-loving homes alike.
**Living Space:**
Konrad is versatile when it comes to his living arrangements. He currently lives in a townhouse with a backyard, and he loves having space to run, play, and lie in the grass. He’d thrive in a home with access to outdoor space—whether it’s a house with a yard or an apartment with outdoor adventures.
**Other Pets:**
Konrad enjoys the company of other dogs and cats. He currently lives with a greyhound and an Italian greyhound, and he’s shown a natural ability to get along with other animals. He’s also been great with cats—he’s even shared food and napped alongside them! Konrad would thrive in a home with other pets, regardless of size or breed.
**Personality & Temperament:**
Konrad has a beautiful temperament, full of softness, affection, and curiosity. His interactions with kids are just as wonderful—he’s been around children as young as five years old and has been calm and friendly with them. He’s playful but not overly jumpy, making him an ideal companion for families.
Konrad is also intelligent and adaptable. In just a short time, he learned to navigate stairs and even took himself outside to the toilet without reminders! He’s still growing in confidence, and as he continues to blossom, his personality will only become more delightful.
Konrad is still a work in progress but shows great promise. He’s learning how to walk nicely on a lead without pulling, and he’s not reactive to traffic or other city noises. He does have a habit of stealing things he shouldn’t, but he’s easily redirected and will give items up when told. He’s also shown that he has the ability to self-regulate, removing himself to his bed when he’s feeling overwhelmed.
**Alone Time:**
Konrad enjoys his quiet time and has the potential to be comfortable on his own for periods during the day. Like with any rescue dog, he will need some time to settle in, but eventually he will sleep through the night without incident and has shown that he can entertain himself, often choosing to relax in his safe space. While he enjoys the company of other dogs, he also appreciates some solitude, whether it’s lying on the grass or taking a quiet moment indoors.
**Toileting:**
Konrad is reliable when it comes to toileting. He takes himself outside when nature calls, and he’s held it for up to 8+ hours, including overnight. His consistency and independence in this area are impressive.
**What We Love About Konrad:**
Konrad’s gentle nature, playful spirit, and loving personality make him an absolute joy to be around. Whether he’s gently kissing his canine companions or getting zoomies in the yard, his joyful energy is contagious. He’s smart, kind, and an all-around wonderful dog, and with a little time, he’ll only continue to shine brighter.
