About Rumer
Requirements:
Must meet all family members
Kids (any age)
Inside only
Meet Rumer,
Rumer’s charming personality makes her suitable for any household environment. She’s a social butterfly who’s always ready to engage with people. From kids to adults, she’s open to meeting everyone and will fit right into family life with ease. She’s truly a dream cat who’s ready to fill your home with love.
With her gentle, friendly, and outgoing nature, Rumer’s curiosity and playfulness will keep you entertained. But don't worry — she’s not a ball of endless energy. With low to medium energy needs, Rumer is just as happy snuggling up for a cuddle as she is chasing a toy. Her true passion? Pats and cuddles! She’s a big fan of affection and will even roll over to ask for more. She’s perfectly fine with being picked up, carried, and cuddled.
If you’re looking for a conversationalist, Rumer’s your girl. She’s known to "chat" about her day and is often the first to greet the team with a cheerful "good morning" as they enter the cattery. Her sweet little meows will bring a smile to your face every day.
While we’re not sure how Rumer would go living with dogs (that’s up to her new owner’s discretion), she has met a few feline friends in the cattery and wasn’t phased by them. If you have cats at home, just be sure to introduce them slowly and gradually to give them the best chance of becoming best buds.
We always encourage cats to be indoor cats. Rumer is a confident cat & loves to explore. Having her outside will surely see her leave the safety of her property for an adventure. She'd be happy being inside, or in a catio/cat enclosure where she can 'feel' like she is outside but also be safely contained. If she is outside, it will increase her chances of running away, getting lost, injured, or worse. As an inside only cat she can be safe & sound & live her best life.
Rumer isn’t fussy about food either, she’ll happily accept whatever’s on offer. She’s also a litter tray pro, always using it like a tidy little lady.
If you’re searching for a sweet, affectionate, and social cat to join your family, Rumer is ready to meet you. Whether you’re a first-time cat owner or a seasoned feline lover, she’s sure to steal your heart.
Staff Comments: Rumer is a sturdy cat & can handle some rough pats if she wants them. She is sweet & gentle and adores people. She's fairly outgoing & happy to explore - she's a cat who will love you until the end of time.

With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as flawless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories. Most left in the shelter by their owners. The information we receive is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks will surface during this time. All that we ask is that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
So please keep in touch with us after adoption so that we can help you settle your new family member in and address any unexpected behaviours.
