Meet Oregano,
Oregano the purrfect fur girl for experienced cat owners. This sweet and sensitive girl is looking for a calm and quiet home where she can relax and be herself. Oregano is open to meeting kids of any age, as long as they understand her quirky traits.
She thrives on human interaction and loves to engage with her humans. Oregano is very affectionate and will shower you with love and purrs. If you catch her in one of her 'moods', she may even have a chat with you about her day! She's a friendly & happy cat who all adore any household member of your family.
As we cannot test in this environment, we are unsure how Oregano would go living with dogs. This would be up to the discretion of her new owners. But we do know that she prefers to be the only cat in the home, so she is not suitable to live with other feline friends.
She is best suited to living indoors only, as her gentle nature may not fare well in the outside world. We always encourage cats to be indoor cats. Oregano may be a little too sensitive for outside living due to the noise. Plus, if she is outside, it will increase her chances of running away, getting lost, injured, or worse. As an inside only cat she can be safe & sound & live her best life.
Oregano has low energy needs and isn't big on playing with toys. She prefers pets and scratches from her humans over anything else. Just be sure to keep her four paws on the ground, as she isn't a fan of being picked up. While she loves being patted & having her head, ears & chin scratched, but her belly is strictly off limits!
This lovely lady is not fussy with her food and will eat anything offered to her. She may even give you a little love bite to show her appreciation, but don't worry, it's all in good fun.
Oregano is a pro when it comes to using her litter tray, so you won't have to worry about any accidents. If you're looking for a gentle and loving companion to share your home with, Oregano may be the perfect match for you.
Staff Comments: Oregano is a very sweet cat who absolutely loves pats. She would suit a chill owner who will allow her to do her own thing. She will happily entertain herself & settle into to being the most cutest house mate to any loving home.

With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as flawless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories. Most left in the shelter by their owners. The information we receive is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks will surface during this time. All that we ask is that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.

The adoption fee for dogs covers C3 vaccination, health check, heartworm testing, desexing, micro-chipping, and registration.
The adoption fee for cats covers F3 vaccination, health check, desexing, micro-chipping, and registration.
