Meet Topaz,
Topaz is a social butterfly with a soft, gentle nature. She thrives on human interaction and will gladly purr and roll over to invite more pats and cuddles. Her curious spirit shines through as she eagerly anticipates attention from her human friends. While she’s friendly, happy, and sometimes playful, her ideal home would be a calm and quiet one, as she’s a little sensitive to loud noises.
Topaz’s affectionate personality makes her an excellent match for first-time pet owners. She’s open to meeting kids of all ages too and enjoys being the centre of attention, as long as it's coming from her beloved humans. She’s happy to be carried, cuddled, and picked up — all the while being a perfect lady.
With low energy needs, Topaz is the definition of "chill." She’s not one to chase toys around the house — she’d much rather engage in personal play with her human friends. Her version of fun is sharing tender moments with you.
Topaz’s dream home is dog-free and cat-free, as she prefers to be the only furry friend in the house. Her social nature is best appreciated when she’s the sole focus of your affection.
We always encourage cats to be indoor cats. Topaz may be a little too sensitive for outside living due to the noise. Plus, if she is outside, it will increase her chances of running away, getting lost, injured, or worse. As an inside only cat she can be safe & sound & live her best life.
Topaz’s care needs are delightfully simple. She’s not picky when it comes to food and accepts whatever is on offer. Her litter tray habits are impeccable, so you’ll have no worries in that department either. She’s often a quiet companion, but she’ll share her thoughts with you from time to time as she "chats" about her day.
If you’re looking for a sweet, social, and easy-going feline friend, Topaz might just be the one for you. Her love knows no bounds, and her calm presence will make your house feel like home.
Staff Comments: Topaz is sweet & gentle. She needs to be the only cat in the home but she makes up for that with her love of all pats & cuddles. She truly loves her human friends as well as back pats & chin scratches. She'll often roll over in anticipation of being touch & starts to make air biccies as she purrs with delight.

With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as flawless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories. Most left in the shelter by their owners. The information we receive is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks will surface during this time. All that we ask is that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
So please keep in touch with us after adoption so that we can help you settle your new family member in and address any unexpected behaviours.
The adoption fee for dogs covers C3 vaccination, health check, heartworm testing, desexing, micro-chipping, and registration.
The adoption fee for cats covers F3 vaccination, health check, desexing, micro-chipping, and registration.
