Meet Poppy!

Poppy is a sweet Whippet-Mastiff mix with a gentle soul and a heart full of love. Her life hasn’t been easy—she’s spent most of it without a family to call her own. After being found on the streets, Poppy ended up in the pound, where she stayed for two months. Sadly, she didn’t get much socialising time there, and shortly after being rescued, she had to fight through a tough battle with parvo. Despite these challenges, this resilient girl has come out stronger and healthier, ready to start a new chapter.

Poppy is naturally shy and timid, likely due to her rough start in life. However, she has an enormous capacity for love. Once she warms up to you—and it doesn’t take long—she becomes a snuggly, affectionate companion who craves cuddles and reassurance. Despite being shy and timid at first she’s good with other dogs and thrives in their company. has already learned to sit and lay down and is making progress in her training, but she’ll need a committed family to help her continue to learn and grow. She’s still discovering the world around her and will need time, patience, and plenty of love to build her confidence fully.

Poppy is in foster care in Singleton, NSW. Her adoption fee is $600, and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, and microchipped.
