About Leroy
Leroy is a charming, excitable Labrador bursting with love, energy, and affection! This big, friendly giant is looking for a family who can match his enthusiasm and shower him with the attention he craves. Leroy thrives in a lively household – he’s previously lived with two adult women, a teenage boy, and a young girl, as well as a small dog and a cat. While he’s friendly with other animals, his playful nature can sometimes be a bit much, so a furry companion who can set gentle boundaries would be ideal.
Indoors, Leroy has excellent manners. He only chews his toys or the occasional piece of stray rubbish from the yard. Having adjusted to being an inside dog, he enjoys sleeping near his humans on a doggy bed or cool floor, providing a sense of safety for himself and his family. Be warned, though – Leroy doesn’t like being shut outside and will make his feelings known!
Leroy is fantastic with kids aged 5 and up and is a social butterfly on walks, loving to meet new people and dogs. He’s learning to manage his excitement with the help of a Halti and is improving every day. A loyal companion, Leroy loves fetch, tug-of-war, and splashing at the beach, where his excellent swimming skills shine. His thick, multi-layered coat does shed, but regular brushing and deshedding keep it manageable.
This sweet boy knows a few tricks – he’ll sit or shake paws for a treat – and is eager to learn more. During playtime or while being petted, his excitement may lead to gentle mouthing, but it’s all in fun. Leroy is happiest with a family who can keep him active, engaged, and loved.
Whether you have another furry friend for him to bond with or simply plan regular trips to the dog park for socializing, Leroy will bring endless joy, laughter, and loyalty to your life. Are you ready to welcome this lovable, goofy Labrador into your home and heart? Leroy is ready to love you unconditionally in return!-
