Meet Rex!
Rex is an 8-week-old mixed-breed puppy with a sweet and gentle soul, named after the lovable dinosaur from Toy Story. Unlike his adventurous brothers, Buzz and Woody, Rex is the laid-back member of the trio. He’s a bit more reserved, preferring quiet moments of cuddles over rough-and-tumble play.
This little guy is a total lovebug who will happily curl up by your side, soaking up all the snuggles and affection you can offer.
Don’t let his chill demeanour fool you—Rex has a heart full of love and a personality that will melt yours. He’s looking for a home where he can enjoy a mix of cozy downtime and gentle play, surrounded by people who appreciate his sweet and sensitive nature.

Rex’s summary:
- Needs someone home majority of the week or a friendly adult dog to show him the ropes
- Will need to be returned to a DRN approved vet for vaccinations and desexing
- Best suited to school aged children
- Puppy Preschool is always recommended for puppies to help them get ready for basic training and socialisation.

Rex is in foster care in Mayfield, Newcastle, NSW. The adoption fee is $700 which includes his first two vaccinations, microchipping, worming and desexing fee. Since he is not yet desexed, he is only available for adoption to the Hunter region (Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Port Stephens, Maitland, Cessnock etc ) and the Central Coast and Sydney. He will need to be returned to one of our approved vets for desexing when he is 5 to 6 months old.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire:

(2) If the questionnaire is approved we will arrange a property check so we
can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've applied for.
(3) After that we will arrange for you to meet the pet, usually at the foster
carer's home, nearby park or your home.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family
member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
