Meet Tess/ Tessy – The Big Gentle Giant Looking for Her Forever Home!

Tess is a happy, loving, and friendly girl who is ready to bring joy and calm to her forever family. This laid-back girl might be big in size, but she’s as gentle as they come. Tess doesn’t jump and has only barked twice during her time in foster care (both times, we were eating steak... go figure!). She adores kids, babies, and would thrive in a home where she can enjoy the company of her family.

Tess enjoys playing with other dogs and would be happy as either the only dog or with a furry sibling. She loves stuffed toys and is a huge fan of playtime! She's not needy at all and would be a great companion for someone who works from home.

Tess doesn't require long walks, and although she’s good on the lead, she will occasionally pull toward a nice shady spot when she’s feeling tired (who can blame her?!)

One thing to keep in mind: due to Tessy’s past experience of being confined to very small spaces for long periods of time, she has a tendency to do a quick "hot lap" of the neighbourhood if a gate to the backyard is left open. However, with regular training, walks, and time spent outside of a yard, Tessy is learning that she’s not trapped anymore, and she’ll continue to grow more secure in her new environment. She does have one little quirk — she loves water but is not a fan of bath time, with a little patience, she’s sure to warm up.

Tess needs a secure yard and regular walks to help her feel settled. She's toilet trained and sits politely for her meals, showing just how smart and well-mannered she is. While Tess is still working on some trust and confidence-building, she’s well on her way to being a loving and devoted companion.

Tess is in foster care in Barnsley, NSW. Her adoption fee is $500, and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, and microchipped.
