About Dill STA012347
Meet Dill, a stunning young guy with a striking presence and a gentle spirit. Though his past may not have included much human interaction, he's now on a path to discovering the joys of trust and companionship. Dill is a sweet soul who will require patience and love as he warms up. He finds comfort in the quiet presence of his humans and loves to stay nearby, observing you from his relaxed spot in the room.
While Dill is still shy, he's curious about life, showing genuine interest in his environment by playfully engaging with his toys. He has a hearty appetite that brings a sparkle to his eye when it's mealtime, so keeping an eye on his diet is important.
Dill would do well in a patient and calm household without children or canines, where a structured routine will help him feel secure. Having a confident and friendly feline buddy might also ease his transition. With the right feline companion, Dill could learn the ropes faster and understand the pleasures of companionship.
If you're looking for a serene cat full of potential to grow into a loyal companion, Dill is ready to embark on this journey with a loving family.
From his Foster Home
He may take time to settle and trust, but he’s a very good cat and non-destructive at all. He can become clingy when he settles and does try to follow you wherever you go, observing and protecting you from a distance. He’s open to treats after he settles, and he meows quite a bit. He also purrs when trusting and friendly. He is open to touching you, but not when you try to touch him back. May need more time. Loves feathery toys, like long feathery sticks where you can interact with him. He’s timid at first, but calm and loving later on
Medical notes
No known pre-existing conditions.
Adoption details
Simply note the ID number and the cats name and visit our hostel at 200 Elder Street in Greensborough. Alternatively you can call the hostel on 8457 6500. We are currently open Mon-Fri 10am-4pm / Sat-Sun 10am-3pm.
You should bring proof of your current address and preferably photo identification such as your driving license. You can only adopt a cat for yourself we do not allow animals to leave with third parties. If you are wishing to adopt a cat as a present for someone, bring them with you as cats are individuals and bond with different people in different ways, the cat you may choose, may not choose your friend! It is also important to allocate time for adoption and we recommend you allow at least a couple of hours to get to know the cat and do the necessary paperwork.
When you visit you will get to meet the cat and as this is a very important decision for both you and the cat you choose we will want to ensure the two of you are compatible and that you understand what will be involved in taking the cat into your home.
We will want to be satisfied that you are prepared to be a responsible pet owner. Responsible pet owners at the most basic level, have their pets registered, micro-chipped and de-sexed unless they are registered breeders. They also understand the issues involved in being able to properly care and take responsibility for the welfare of their pets. Most Councils in Victoria have limits on the numbers of cats you may own without a permit. It is important to check with your Council if you already own the limit and obtain a permit for the extra cat before adoption. We will require to see your permit.
We will answer any questions you have regarding cat care and help you to obtain any support you may need.
