About Juneau
***WE'RE ALWAYS ON THE LOOKOUT FOR FOSTER CARERS TO HELP US OUT SO IF YOU THINK YOU CAN PROVIDE A TEMPORARY HOME FOR ONE OF OUR BEAUTIFUL CATS PLEASE LET US KNOW. THE MORE CARERS WE HAVE AVAILABLE TO LEND A HAND THE MORE CATS WE CAN HELP REHOME***
This little lady is very sweet, very affectionate, very loving and has a very sad story.
She was owned by a family previously but sadly her owners wanted to have her euthanized.
Now, we don't know the full story, but it sounds like Juneau became stressed with the arrival of a new baby in the house and started acting out by peeing next to her litter box. This is a very common phenomenon, which we've seen many times before, and can usually be fixed with a tweak to the dynamics of the household.
Unfortunately Juneau's owners weren't willing to make the necessary changes and had instructed the vet to put her to sleep.
Luckily Juneau's vet reached out for help and we were able to organize for Juneau's owners to surrender her into our care to be rehomed.
Since arriving in her new foster home Juneau has been using the litter tray without any issues. She was a little shy her first few days in the new home, as to be expected, but has since found her confidence and her beautiful personality has begun to shine through.
Juneau is proving to be very sweet, loving, affectionate and gentle. She love human company and once she gets to know you will always be around. She loves a pat and a scratch, enjoys a cuddle and will even jump up on the bed or on the couch next to you and say g'day, once she's had a chance to settle.
We would love to find her a nice quiet home in a nice quiet area, with a patient and loving person, who's willing to give her the time she needs to settle into her new environment and find her confidence. We have no doubt that once she's had a chance to unwind her beautiful personality will begin to shine through and you'' find yourself with a smoochy and loving companion in your home.
She has been living in a foster home with other cats and kids without incident, but we would ideally love to find her a home without children or pets, so she could have all of her new humans attention to herself.
A retiree or home body who's experienced with cats and has a lot of love to give would be perfect.
Juneau is approximately 6 years old and has been desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm treated and is available for adoption right meow.
If you think you have the room in your heart and your home to provide this gorgeous little lady with a great life please let us know and we’ll be more than happy to arrange a time for you to meet and fall in love with her.

A little about us:
Urban Feline Australia is a newly established cat rescue service, run by one passionate individual with the help of friends and volunteers, that is dedicated to keeping cats out of kill shelters and helping them find loving forever homes. We specialize in helping "surrenders" which are cats that have lived with humans previously but for one reason or another their owners are unfortunately no longer able to look after them. We take your pets into our amazing cat sanctuary where they're treated with love and affection until the right forever home is found for them.
Urban Feline Australia is not a large company with government resources, a large facility and a lot of staff. Our tiny rescue is a one man operation run from the safety of our own home. We do this for the love of animals and our only agenda is to save as many cats as we can. We rely heavily on cooperation from friends, other rescues, our amazing foster carers and the kindness of strangers to survive. Every cent we receive from donations and adoption fees is used to keep our rescue running and cover the cost of food, water, litter, equipment and vet bills for the animals in our care.
We are doing as much as we can right now but our dream is to one day be able to purchase a larger property or facility that would allow us to be able to save the lives of many more cats in need. Perhaps even open a cat cafe so that we can spread our message to a wider audience.
We have recently created a Go Fund Me towards this end so if you would like to donate towards our cause please follow the below link.
