About Grandpa Max
Grandpa Max is a delightful, snow-white domestic medium-haired cat with a heart as warm as the Christmas spirit itself.
His fur is pure white, soft and fluffy, and he has a personality to match-jolly, affectionate, and full of holiday cheer. Grandpa Max absolutely adores Christmas! He dreams of being in a cozy home, surrounded by twinkling lights, a crackling fire, and the sound of carols playing in the background.
He's excited to spend his Christmas in a home with a new family-unwrapping presents, lounging by the tree, and indulging in a special smoked sardine lunch.
Grandpa Max is the purrfect companion for anyone looking for a festive feline friend to celebrate the season with.
This Christmas, he hopes to find a forever home where he can spread joy, share warmth, and be spoiled with love and treats!
To book a meet and greet with Grandpa Max please phone 5441-2209 or email barcreception@bendigo.vic.gov.au . Due to the high volume of emails received, enquiries with a request for a specific appointment with phone details included will receive a response as priority over generic applications which state they are interested in meeting an animal.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
