About Korra
Korra is a thirteen month old German Shepherd who has come into our care with her seven puppies.
She has been a lovely mother but now needs her own home. Korra has been through a lot of changes in recent months and needs a stable home.
This young girl has lots of energy(a go getter) and will suit an owner who is active, will provide a purpose, gives clear direction, firm guidance, and will apply appropriate rules. Her new owners cannot leave this girl to her own devices.
Korra loves cuddles and has a gentle side(eg takes food gently, puts her head on your lap etc). She will bond with her human very quickly and loves lying at your feet.
Korra could go to a home with another dog. The best 'dog sibling', would be one who is young to middle aged, will remind her to use her manners and not be phased by an energetic sister.
She is a dog that will thrive in a home that continues with her training, provides daily mental stimulation and is consistent with rules.
She is toilet trained (she will go to the door to ask to be let out), has been around children - but could accidentally knock a young child over with her energy, so will need close supervision if with children. She is not tested with cats or pocket pets.
Korra is receiving expert training with Bear The Dog Behaviourist.
If you understand the nature of a German Shepherd, and are looking for a companion dog then please consider Korra. She will provide lots of love and companionship in abundance when she connects and builds that trust with her new owner.
If you live in Queensland or Victoria, you can be considered for adoption; however, you must be able to drive with your family to meet Korra. If for any reason she doesn't fit your family you will be responsible for bringing him back to Sydney or helping us rehome her from your home.
To apply for Korra, please either click on the link "Enquire about Korra" and we will send you an application form or go to our website and complete the application form.

Adoption details
We have an Adoptions Manager who screens all prospective candidates as to their suitability to adopt a German Shepherd Dog.
We try to contact every one by phone but if that isn't successful we will email our application form to you, which needs to be completed and returned, or you can call us back and we can chat and complete for you. We will also ask you to provide photos of your yard and fencing to enable us to see where the dog will be kept and that they have areas of shade and shelter.
All our dogs are ready to go to their new home, so when you enquire about a dog you must be in a position to take them into your home. We are unable to hold a dog while you fix your fences or go on holiday, etc.
The successful candidate who adopts one of our dogs is provided with an information kit, ongoing support, training and advice on all aspects of feeding, training and general assistance to ensure both the new owner and our rescued dog settle into their home.
