About Bonus
Bonus is a fabulous Mini American Shepherd who might have skipped the “mini” memo—she’s closer to the size of her Aussie Shepherd cousins, with a little extra fluff to love. Currently working on her summer bod, Bonus is a cheeky, affectionate lass who’s making up for lost time after growing up in kennels. She’s quick to adjust to home life and loves every moment of luxury, whether it’s lounging around, holding hands (yes, really!), or soaking up endless pets.
This spirited girl has a knack for sneaky thievery—socks, shoes, or even the mail are fair game if left in her reach. But with her endearing charm and big, happy grin, you’ll find it impossible to stay mad at her!
Bonus’s Dream Home
Bonus is looking for an experienced, adult-only home with owners who understand her quirks and can provide her with the calm, structured environment she thrives in. She’s not high-maintenance but does prefer a predictable lifestyle. A home with a yard where she can roam and relax is ideal—Bonus isn’t much of an apartment girly!
Bonus is still learning to navigate the big, wide world. She enjoys her walks but feels more at ease in quiet, low-traffic areas rather than busy city streets.
Energy Level
Bonus is the perfect balance of cheeky fun and laid-back comfort. She enjoys a run-around and occasional adventures but is equally content chilling at home with her humans.
Suitability to Children
Bonus is best suited to a mature household without young children. While she’s not bad with kids, her excitement can lead to a bit of nipping, and she thrives in a predictable, calm environment.
Suitability to Other Pets
Currently living with other dogs, Bonus does well in their company and gets along best with medium-to-large male dogs or as a solo queen. She hasn’t met cats yet but could likely adjust to living with one after a careful and slow introduction. Bonus is okay being left alone but much prefers having company most of the time.
Bonus is a delightful mix of sass, smarts, and sweetness, ready to bring joy and mischief to her forever home. If you’re an experienced dog owner who loves a little cheeky flair in a companion, Bonus is ready to steal your heart (and maybe a sock or two)! 🐾❤️

Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
