About Kiara
🤩 Kiara - Available for Adoption 🤩
Kiara is a beautiful 6month old staffy x. She arrived at the shelter a few weeks ago, and over the last few weeks, has been lucky enought to be in foster care with a wonderful foster family, which includes the most excellent resident dog Kevin. In care, Kiara is learning all about the rules of being a good puppy and about what love is. Here's what her foster carer Shallyn has to say about Kiara 🥰:
"Kiara is a sweet, happy pup who’s always ready to please 🥰. She's the kind of dog who just can’t help but spread joy wherever she goes. With a heart full of love, a wagging tail, and a smile that’s downright contagious, she’s always ready to get involved in whatever you’re doing. Whether it’s cuddling up on the couch or helping with chores, Kiara’s enthusiasm is endless".
"Kiara absolutely adores her foster dog brother, Kevin, and is always eager to play with him.She is also accustomed to being around other dogs—she spent a few days with another foster pup before they went to their forever home and adjusted quickly. Once she figures out her place in the pack, Kiara gets along well with other dogs, ready to join in the fun and make new friends".
"Kiara is a people pleaser, her happy nature makes her the perfect companion, and she’s always eager to be part of the action. There’s nothing more heartwarming than seeing her big, joyful grin as she rushes over to greet you. And even though her jumping up can sometimes be a bit much, it’s hard to resist her bear hug-like embrace".
"When it comes to training, Kiara is a bit behind for a 6-month-old pup, due to her rough start in life, so we are still working on commands like “sit,” “leave it,” and “down” and although it is a slow process it’s clear that she loves the positive reinforcement and is keen to learn".
"Kiara's toilet training is great and she has not had any accidents inside for about a week now".
"Lead walking is still a work in progress. Kiara is a bit skittish with loud noises and unfamiliar environments, and her excitement at meeting other dogs often turns into barking and pulling on the leash. But with patience, plenty of walks, and some socialisation with other pups, we’re confident she’ll get there".
"Though she’s always game for adventure, Kiara knows when it’s time to rest. After a day full of play and exploration, she’ll find her favourite quiet spot to nap, recharging for the next round of fun. She’s affectionate, loyal, and loves to be around people—but also knows when to take a break and enjoy some solitude".
"Kiara may be a work in progress, but there’s no denying that she’s already a heart-stealer. Her sweet nature, eagerness to please, and love of cuddles make her an absolute joy to have around. With a little more practice and patience, Kiara will be a beautiful well-behaved, happy pup".
