About Pebbles
Hey how are you?
I'm good but very nervous making this post .. my foster mum said I had to tell you about me, but that's a lot of attention on me when I’m nervous around new people and meeting new people!
Okay here goes I'm going to do my best!
I have come into care from a private surrender who was concerned that my shyness and timid(ness) was going to really hold me back finding my furever home. When I first came into care I would run away from any human and hide or snap.
My foster mum and my foster fursiblings have been working on me to build up my confidence and while I’m still shy in new situations nowhere near what I was like when I first came into care.
I am a three year and eight month old Maltese x Chihuahua and weigh 3.2kgs
My foster mum says I'm a unique little girl, who once comfortable with her humans loves to cuddle with them (and my foster fur sister)
I am very confident around my foster mum but very nervous around new people but she has been working on that with me and thinks that I will be happy and showing some confidence when we meet but may regress at my new home for a bit so will definitely need a safe space to have to grow my confidence.
I am also toilet trained
I love to sleep on my humans bed and also have access to a crate where I can come and go (and yep once in a while hide a toy in!)
I love going for a walk and my foster mum has been making sure when I’m out and about that my confidence is growing.
I would look for a home where kids are over 10 - just simply to not have that extra noise that some young kids can do!
I love to play with my foster fur sibling and the rescue has said that I must go to a home with another dog for socialization, confidence and of course fun!
I would love a home with another dog and a quiet home with people who can give me time to settle but then bond with - I love a good lap to snooze on and would love the attention and the kisses.
I am happy to go out in the backyard at my foster home, but not a girl who likes to spend much time outside – my favorite spots are couches and bed.
I wouldn’t enjoy being home alone for 8+ hours a day without humans. My foster mum says I am not a fan of spending time by myself unless I choose too.
I am a typical lap dog so that means I’m looking for a lap that is home more often than not, someone who can take the time to sit down and let me have a snooze on them or near them and definitely a home with another dog to play with and socialize with.
I am not tested on cats but more than likely if they showed me their nails I would run away.
Now I probably sound like a big scaredy-dog - I’m not really I’m just a quiet little girl who loves her little world and would like to continue having that option

Complete the following adoption enquiry link

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 10 day trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $250) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
AFTER THE TRIAL PERIOD
After the 10 day trial period is completed Paw Prints Canine will send out all relevant paperwork for your new furbaby via email including the transfer of microchip form.
