About Pearl
Introducing the stunning and oh so sweet Pearl.
Pearl is a gorgeous looking and loving personality for a 2 year and 11 month old Cocker Spaniel.
Pearl is what you would describe as a old soul – she is sweet, calm and a loving girl who is looking for a quiet home that she can hang out at and be the princess that the rescue says she is.
Pearl has come into care for personal reasons from her owner – the rescue has ensured all her vet work is completed.
Pearl while young is just such a calm girl – she is happy to snooze her day away inside.
Pearl can be shy when meeting new people or a new environment but once she is comfy and settled in her new home she will happily snuggle on the couch with you and on the bed!
When meeting Pearl she may be wary and avoid human contact – but once she is comfy she is happy to follow her humans around. Pearl is not a dog who is going to seek out lots of attention from other humans or other dogs – she loves her family and her life.
Pearl is an easy going girl to have around - she is dog friendly and happily lives with other dogs but will pick and choose who she likes to play with – she will simply ignore other dogs.
Pearl when she likes playing loves to do lazy wrestle and walk around with her fur friends.
Pearl absolutely loves loves loves a soft fluffy toy and will happily greet you at the front door when you arrive home and loves to carry one around in her mouth simply to have.
Pearl will happily live with another dog who is also calm and happy to do their own thing or to have a play on her terms – not aggressive – she will simply just go lie on the couch and snooze!
Pearl is cat friendly
Pearl is 12.5kgs (we think most the weight is in the fur!)
Pearl once settled into her new home is most happy when being near her humans – they can be working, reading, folding the washing and he is happy to just be near – either watching or snoozing.
Pearl loves to sleep on the bed with her humans or sploshed on a dog bed or the floor after having some outside time.
Pearl will happily go outside while your there – simply for curiosity of what you’re doing .. but is not a dog who wants to spend a lot of time outside.
Pearl is house trained but may have accidents when she first arrives or the grass is wet
Pearl can walk on a lead but would still need some ongoing training
Pearl has been good with the kids who have come to visit however as she can still be nervous we feel a home with older or no kids would be better for her
Pearl’s idea home would be with people who were home more often than not and could very much incorporate her into their daily life.
Pearl has a typical Cocker Spaniel coat and does require regular grooming and brushing - especially the ears!

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 10 day trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $250) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
AFTER THE TRIAL PERIOD
After the 10 day trial period is completed Paw Prints Canine will send out all relevant paperwork for your new furbaby via email including the transfer of microchip form.
