About Macee
Hello, my name is Macee and I'm looking for my forever humans.
I am a gorgeous 3 year and 1 month old Toy Poodle who has come into care from a breeder with some other fur babies that the rescue also helped
I am a little shy with new humans and do take a moment or three to gain my confidence and – but if you give me the chance, I am honestly worth it (my foster mum says I am!), once I get to know you, I am quite a lap dog and love scratches and cuddles.
I would prefer a home where someone is home more often than not, or works from home, shift worker, casual worker etc...
I love to have someone home with me so I can be by their side and be close to them - I do know personal space but sometimes I just pretend I forget and love to be close to you.
I am also very much an inside girl who is happy to go outside to do my lady business but love to be on the couch, bed, on a dog bed curled in your office just generally inside. I would not be good as a dog who is left outside for hours. I am best described as a quiet girl who just is happy to chill in life.
I love to do a zoomie and will be playful when I want, but not big on toys but do have a mini stuff snowman that I like to snuggle up with on the couch.
I am currently in my foster home as an only dog, but I am dog friendly and like to have a small play and do my zoomies etc but don't necessarily need to be homed with another dog. I am used to other dogs.
I currently live with some kids and happy to have them at my furever home but would prefer older kids if possible (over 10 years old)
I am not cat tested
I currently weigh 3.8kgs
I love going out for walks and would happily walk for ages if you allow me too. I love to sniff as I walk and have been known to go off the path (if allowed) and explore. My foster mum says that sometimes I need a little bit of encouragement to turn around and go back home.
The rescue has made sure all my vet work has been completed including a dental extraction and a scale and polish so I can flash my pearly whites!
I currently sleep in my foster mum's room at night and would love to enjoy sleeping on the bed if allowed. I also love to sleep on the couch.
I am toilet trained but don't have a doggy door at my foster home so that would be something I will have to learn.
I am not a huge treat girl, but my foster mum says I absolutely love to be verbally praised and if you crouch down to my level and call me I will come running. I love to please and show my humans I love them, and they love me.
I do have a coat that requires regular grooming so please make sure that you do remember that it’s a lifetime of grooming.
I am looking for that forever home that will love me and I can love you – are you that home?

Please note - They will not leave for their new homes until they are 12 weeks of age and have been desexed, micro-chipped and vaccinated up to date.

Please note - We don't take calls on adoption enquiries - an application must be completed

Complete the following adoption enquiry link

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 10 day trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $250) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
AFTER THE TRIAL PERIOD
After the 10 day trial period is completed Paw Prints Canine will send out all relevant paperwork for your new furbaby via email including the transfer of microchip form.
