About Sasha
The Rottweiler is considered to be one of the oldest surviving dog breeds. Its origin goes back to Roman times when these dogs were kept as herder or driving dogs. They marched over the Alps with the Roman legions, protecting the humans and driving their cattle.
Rotties are loyal, intelligent & can form very close bonds with their guardians.
Sasha is an absolute sweetheart! Having not had the best start in life, she is a happy, affectionate & very cuddly girl. She has come a long way since coming into shelter & is gaining confidence all the time as she makes new friends.
She will form a very strong bond with her caregiver & we are hoping to find her a home where she will be allowed to live indoors with her family and be made to feel like a much-loved member of the family.
Sasha has lived with other dogs in the past & may be able to co-habit with a canine companion. We would suggest a sociable medium to large older male. A meet & greet prior to adoption would be essential to ensure that they can be mates!
Sasha goes for daily walks & has lovely leash manners. She did not see much of the outside world prior to coming in to shelter so it's important to remember to keep new experiences & situations as positive as possible so that she can make good associations with them.
Sasha LOVES water!! Paddling pools or a dam are a must for this water baby!
Sasha is a beautiful girl who loves nothing more than a hug from her favourite people. Do you need more hugs in your life?!
