About Ginger
Meet the lovely Ginger, a soft-hearted just shy of 2 year old poodle with a calm, steady presence and a cheeky spark just waiting to shine.
Ginger may come across as a little reserved at first, but behind those soulful eyes is a sweet girl who’s only just beginning to discover how lovely life can really be.
Ginger is toilet trained and uses a doggy door like a good girl, although crates are not really her thing.
Ginger would much prefer the comfort of a warm bed and the familiar scent of her humans nearby.
Ginger is quiet by nature and not much of a barker, but don’t be fooled, she’s got a playful streak nothing makes Ginger happier than a good round of zoomies, especially when her favorite humans come home. Her joy is contagious, and you can’t help but smile and laugh a little when you see her bounding around the backyard with a toy or ball in her mouth and a tail that won’t stop wagging.
Ginger shares her home peacefully with cats and another foster sibling, who she gets along with beautifully. She’s a little timid when meeting new dogs or people on walks, but her confidence is slowly blooming with each day, it's takes time, but day by day, she's gains a little more.
Calm, respectful children seem to win Ginger over in time, and she enjoys quiet company far more than chaotic energy.
Ginger will need regular grooming and she's ok at the groomers, a little nervous but does ok.
Ginger needs a family with patience and a lot of love to give, and you'll soon start to see Ginger blossom right before your eyes, she just needs time to go at her own pace.
Ginger sleeps contentedly in her humans' bed and can often be found lounging on a soft dog bed surrounded by her favorite toys.
While Ginger isn’t quite a lap dog (she’s a bit too wiggly for that) she adores belly rubs and will happily flop over for a scratch the moment you sit down.
Ginger enjoys her daily walks and is happy to go for a 2-3 kilometers, especially if there’s plenty of time to stop and sniff. Ginger walks nicely on lead and although she has her own ideas about which direction she’d like to head in, she’s easily guided back with gentle direction and a kind word.
Dinner is Gingers true love language, especially if it's cooked. She’s not shy about sneaking a taste from her foster sibling or even the cat if given the chance, but it’s all in good humor, well at least Ginger think so with a look on her face that says, "just one bite please, I'm just taste testing"!
While Gingers quirks are still emerging, Ginger’s gentle spirit and slow-blooming confidence make her an incredibly special little lady.
Ginger is looking for a calm, quiet family, a loving home with someone who understands that beautiful things take time. If you’ve got patience in your heart, lots of love to give, a soft bed to share, and a little extra chicken in the fridge, Ginger just might be your perfect match.

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 10 day trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $250) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
