About Blooper
So thanks for the help google
Searching what are Chihuahuas traits .........
Chihuahuas are loving and loyal and make good pets for first-time owners. These little dogs have big personalities and range from feisty and outgoing to shy and timid. Intelligent and fiercely loyal to the people they love.
So we are calling for Chi lovers who understand these special little ones who really have a heart of a lion, attitude to show but so much love to give when ready.
Blooper is a beautiful Long Hair 1 year and 7 month old Chihuhua.
Blooper has come into care thru no fault of hers and is ready for her furever home
Blooper fits the description of a chihuahua perfectly - she is shy and timid when meeting new people and needs time to settle and adjust and then is feisty and loyal to her family and loving.
Blooper will take some time to settle in her new home and won't be wanting cuddles and walks and lots of people around her when she first settles. However can we just say once she decides she trusts you - she will deem you worthy of her cuddles and just show you love on her terms.
Blooper is not your little bitty Chihuahuas who fits in your handbag and still has room for the kitchen sink. Blooper weighs 4.2kgs and we honestly believe that some of that is hair!
Being a long haired Chihuhua she does look bigger then what she is!
Blooper once comfortable at her home and with her humans loves to spend time sleeping and supervising.
Blooper is currently living with other dogs and is dog friendly with all sizes at her foster home and will randomly play with similar size dogs when she decides they can be her friend. Blooper would not be great at dog parks and with many dogs as that would overwhelm her and she has ben known to air snap at a new dog until she deems them friends.
While Blooper might not play a lot with other dogs she would benefit and enjoy another dog at her home - for company and simply just socialization.
Blooper is looking for a home where there is a few people at home that will give her time to settle but also people home that she can hang out with. Blooper loves to sleep in her foster mum's office while she works
Blooper would not be a girl who would like to go to dog parks or long walks as that would be overwhelming for her. Blooper believes her home is her safety zone.
Blooper is toilet trained.
Blooper while very timid and unsure when in a new environment and her new family would need to ensure that they give her the chance to settle and be ready for affection on her terms (it's worth it)
Blooper loves sleeping on the bed (when she is ready) but also likes having a crate that stays open for her to use as her safe space
Blooper has never been aggressive or snapped at any human.
Blooper is very food motivated so this helps win her love over - she is a huge fan of bbq chicken and devon (woolworths deli only!)
While Blooper currently lives with a child and has had no issues we would prefer her to go to a home that has kids over 10 years of age - just simply quieter and calmer to help her settle and blossom.
Blooper is not tested with cats.
If you are looking for a couch buddy who is happier at home then going out and you have the patience to give her space her love will be worth it.

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 10 day trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $250) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
AFTER THE TRIAL PERIOD
After the 10 day trial period is completed Paw Prints Canine will send out all relevant paperwork for your new furbaby via email including the transfer of microchip form.
