Hello, my name is Mario, and I am looking for my fur-ever family where we can share endless amounts of love and affection.

I am a 3 year and 3-month-old Toy Poodle - my idea of the perfect day involves hanging out with my humans all day. I’ll lay at your feet while you work from home, snuggle on your lap while you watch TV at night, and cuddle up next to you while you sleep at night.

I enjoy playing with my foster dog siblings in short bursts each morning, but other than that, I am so happy to just be around my humans who love me, so I don’t need to have other dogs in my new family. I would love to be the center of your attention.

I am a timid little boy, so I prefer not to be around young children all the time. Although I am very patient and gentle with my foster family’s children (aged 6, 7 and 9), I can startle easily and would prefer to join a family with either older children or just adults.

I’d love a family who will spend time with me each day – I don’t want to be home alone all day everyday by myself. My preference is someone who works from home, retired, shift worker, stay at home parent or spends more time at home than they do out and about.

At nighttime, I like to sleep in my foster parent’s bedroom. I sleep soundly throughout the night and am overnight toilet trained, and I love to wake up my foster parents each morning with cuddles.

When my foster family goes out, I prefer to be left inside the house. This is where I feel safest and most comfortable. I can be trusted in the house alone – I have never chewed any of my foster family’s belongings. I am mostly toilet trained but will sometimes have an accident when nervous or if I can’t get access to outside.

You might notice I have lots of flexibility in my front legs - don’t fear, I have bendy front legs, but they don’t cause me any discomfort. I can still run and play with the best of them. In many years to come, as I one day will enter the retirement phase of life, I may develop arthritis, like many oldies do, so please take good care of me when this time comes.

I weight 4.6kgs and enjoy a healthy diet of a variety of foods.

I have not been tested on cats.

I have a coat that does require grooming so please ensure you do take that into consideration when applying to adopt me
