About Fish
Meet Fish: The Snaggle-Toothed Sweetheart Looking for Her Forever Couch
Fish is a 12-year-old senior lady with a heart full of love and a face full of character—complete with a snaggle-tooth smile that’s sure to make you grin. After spending much of her life as an outdoor dog, Fish is relishing her retirement as an indoor queen, discovering the pure joy of couch naps and belly rubs. She adores cuddles, gives endless kisses, and squeaks with excitement when it’s time for a short stroll around the block. This loveable lady is as vibrant as they come for her age, though she’s also a champion napper when the excitement winds down.
Fish’s Dream Home:
Fish would thrive in a home with minimal stairs (or a human willing to carry her like the royalty she is). While she’s perfectly content sharing her life with another calm, easygoing dog, she’d also be overjoyed as the sole recipient of your love and attention. Toilet training is still a work in progress, so a patient home with access to outdoor areas or artificial turf would be ideal. Fish also needs to stick to a specific diet (Royal Canin Urinary SO) to keep her urinary health in check.
Energy Level:
For a senior gal, Fish is surprisingly sprightly! She loves following her humans around the house and gets giddy for walks—though a short stroll is all she needs before she’s ready to curl up for a nap.
Family Compatibility:
Fish is fantastic with kids and has lived harmoniously with children as young as 10. Her gentle and loving nature makes her a great fit for families who appreciate her laid-back energy.
Pet Compatibility:
Fish gets along swimmingly with other dogs but would prefer a calm companion rather than one who wants to play too much. She’s shared her home with everything from a tiny pug to a bouncy Labrador and adjusted beautifully.
If you’re ready to welcome a loving, quirky, snaggle-toothed senior into your home, Fish is ready to fill your life with laughter, love, and epic couch cuddles. Contact us today to meet this one-of-a-kind lady and make her retirement years the best of her life! 🐾❤️
Medical notes
Fish has had a history of bladder stones and requires a special urinary diet to decrease the chances of them reoccurring.

Please use these links rather than the 'Enquire' button on the pet's PetRescue profile to streamline your enquiry.
Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
Please consider, that a Maggie's Pet is a pet for Life, before adopting.
