Meet Burger – Your New Gentle Giant!
Burger is a lovable and massive 18-month-old Dane x Rottweiler mix with a heart as big as his frame. He’s a true people lover, enjoying the company of humans and other animals alike. While his size can be intimidating, his gentle nature and affection will melt your heart.

Breed: Dane x Rottweiler (18 months old)
Personality: Friendly, loving, and playful!
Great with other animals,he needs a large dog companion (non negotiable) – ideally a female but male is also fine – to keep him company.
Learning new commands quickly and eager to please.
What You Should Know:
Size and Strength: Burger is massive, and while he’s gentle, he is strong. He’ll need a confident handler, especially on the lead.
Separation Anxiety: Burger does experience some separation anxiety, so he thrives in a home where someone is around to give him the attention he craves, he can only be left home alone if with another dog.
No Small Dogs, Please: Burger believes he’s a tiny puppy himself, so while he’s not aggressive, he doesn’t quite know his size! For the safety of smaller dogs, a home with another large dog is essential.
No Crates: Burger is not a fan of being confined, whether in a crate at the vet or in the car. He prefers to roam free and be by your side.
Perfect Home for Burger: Burger needs a patient and loving family who can provide structure and guidance as he continues to learn. His new home will have a large dog (female preferred) for companionship and space for him to stretch his long legs. Adoption details
*Please only apply if you reside 4hrs from Shepparton
* You will have a list of questions sent that you need to answer and send back.
* (For dog applications) Photos are requested of your yard, the fencing and any undercover shelter areas (patio/pergola) that must be sent through along with answers to questions.
* It’s not first in best dressed and we pride ourselves in finding the perfect family home for the animals in our care and make sure each family finds the perfect animal as well.
* We feed our cats on Lifewise, bags are available to buy from us.
* We also offer a 2 week trial on all animals that are adopted from this rescue organisation, if returned during this time a refund less 10% is given.
* Meet and greets are always taken prior to adoption, on the day if all goes well and you are happy, you can adopt on the spot and take your animal home to begin the next chapter together. We don't offer more than 1 meet and greet.
*All animals listed on our petrescue page are available for adoption until the moment they are removed
