About Fen STA012948
Meet Fen, a gentle and affectionate guy with a friendly nature that leaves a lasting impression, Fen effortlessly captures hearts. Whether you're lounging on the couch or working at your desk, Fen's tranquil presence will remind you of the comfort and warmth that come with having a feline family member.
Fen's journey began with some health hurdles, arriving at the shelter with some health. Yet, through it all, Fen has shown remarkable resilience and tolerance during treatment. His easygoing temperament is a testament to his strength and gentle spirit, bringing a sense of peace wherever he is.
A loving and serene soul, Fen is ready to be a part of a caring household where affection and companionship are cherished.
Fen came to us with a white/hazy right cornea, this is likely because he had an eye injury when younger which has left a hazy scar on the cornea when it healed. It has not got any worse in his time with us, and does not cause him any discomfort, but may obscure his vision a little. Due to this Fen must be indoor only for his own safety.
Medical notes
No known pre-existing conditions.
Adoption details
Simply note the ID number and the cats name and visit our hostel at 200 Elder Street in Greensborough. Alternatively you can call the hostel on 8457 6500. We are currently open Mon-Fri 10am-4pm / Sat-Sun 10am-3pm.
You should bring proof of your current address and preferably photo identification such as your driving license. You can only adopt a cat for yourself we do not allow animals to leave with third parties. If you are wishing to adopt a cat as a present for someone, bring them with you as cats are individuals and bond with different people in different ways, the cat you may choose, may not choose your friend! It is also important to allocate time for adoption and we recommend you allow at least a couple of hours to get to know the cat and do the necessary paperwork.
When you visit you will get to meet the cat and as this is a very important decision for both you and the cat you choose we will want to ensure the two of you are compatible and that you understand what will be involved in taking the cat into your home.
We will want to be satisfied that you are prepared to be a responsible pet owner. Responsible pet owners at the most basic level, have their pets registered, micro-chipped and de-sexed unless they are registered breeders. They also understand the issues involved in being able to properly care and take responsibility for the welfare of their pets. Most Councils in Victoria have limits on the numbers of cats you may own without a permit. It is important to check with your Council if you already own the limit and obtain a permit for the extra cat before adoption. We will require to see your permit.
We will answer any questions you have regarding cat care and help you to obtain any support you may need.
