About Greg
Little Greg is a 6.4kg pug, who is 6 yrs old.
If you didn’t know any better you would think he is a smooth coated Brussel Griffon.
But Greg has come from a background of neglect and came in very emaciated. He isn’t close to his goal weight, which we believe is around 8kg.
Considering his sheltered background he is the most loving, friendly little dude you could meet.
He is being fostered in a house with a Great Dane and another pug and the house is very harmonious.
He is giving the other chubby pug a run for his money.
It’s hard to believe this little fella is 6, he acts like a young pup.
We have seen no aggression with him with toys or food, considering he loves, loves his food. Yes Pugs are renowned for their serious appetites, but this boy is allowed to be at the moment.
He is being fed 4 small meals a day due to his recent BOA surgery and slowly putting his weight on.
He is only 10 days post op and doing fairly well. Still has a slight cough after eating, but that’s improving everyday.
Greg does have one fixable ‘quirk’ that is improving each day as well.
He was an outside dog, undesexed, so his toileting is probably 80% there. He uses the doggie door successfully, but not sure if it’s laziness, or just forgets? Seems to be worse at night. So we have just started crate training him tonight (5th) to see if that makes a difference.
He is like a little energiser bunny, so needs an active home.
One thing we need to point out is Greg is a very early riser! Eek!
We think his previous owner might have been a shift worker as he rises before the sun appears. Obviously in another home with other rules, he will learn the routine of the house.
He isn’t scared of storms, has no separation anxiety and loves the company of other dogs.
He would love another little friend, if it was another pug that would be great.
If you haven’t had a pug in your life and are interested, please do your homework, as they are unique little creatures and need special care in the hot summer months.

Adoption details
We shortlist and contact families who may fit the dogs needs. If indications are positive, normally after sleeping on it, a home check is organised, then an adoption agreement is completed, adoption donation (variable on account of age and health of individual dog) is transferred and the dog will become part of your family.
All our dogs have had a consultation with our vet, are desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, wormed and treated for fleas. As we want every dog to be in its own family we try and fit dogs into forever homes, we don’t offer “Trials”. Naturally unforeseen circumstances arise occasionally where it’s preferable dogs come back to us as per our adoption agreement.
