About Indie
This beautiful girl has been in care since late 2024, raising her pups (all adopted!) and going through heart worm treatment. We were overjoyed at how well Indie went during treatment, and she will just need the final test later this year before it is officially over! In the meantime, we would love to see find her forever family.
Indie is an extremely easy going dog, who loves being around others. She has lived with other dogs and young children, and gets along with them all brilliantly. At a previous foster home, Indie lived outside while a cat lived inside, and while she did bark at them occasionally, she paid them no attention when being walked through the house, so testing her with cats is a possibility. She has not been tested with other animals.
Indie loves to play, and enjoys having play dates with other dogs and children. She gets super excited when she sees the leash come out as she knows she will be going on a walk, but equally enjoys having a nap in the backyard when the sun is out. Indie also enjoys visiting the beach and going on road trips, but her absolute favourite pastime is receiving constant pats and cuddles. She loves nothing more than having a cuddle on the lounge!
Indie is a very clever dog, and picks up whatever you teach her very quickly. Though she is still learning her leash manners, she knows ‘sit’ and ‘stay’, and is house and crate trained. Indie also travels well in a car, and knows to lie down on the seat when given the command to do so.
She is currently an inside dog, but has lived as an outside dog before, so she will adapt to whatever routine you already have at home. Indie is currently left inside when home alone, and doesn’t destroy anything, but she can become bored so a home where regular enrichment and stimulation can be provided would be ideal.
Her carer believes she would adapt to just about any home, but would love to have lots of company whether that be other dogs or children.⠀
**PLEASE NOTE ** All animals will be vaccinated, desexed, microchipped, and up to date with preventatives (fleas, ticks, mites etc) at time of adoption. All dogs over 6 months at time of intake are also tested for heartworm, and treated if positive. If animals are too young for desexing at time of adoption, a desexing voucher will be provided to the adopter.
