About Precious
Requirements:
Must meet all family members
Kids (any age)
Calm & quiet home
Inside only
Meet Precious,
Precious is a gentle soul with a sweet, loving nature. She’s friendly, agreeable, and happiest when life includes quiet cuddles and kind words. At first, she might be a little reserved - think “polite stranger at a party" vibes, but bring out a few treats, and suddenly you’re her favourite person in the room. Her purrs will let you know you’re on the right track!
Once Precious warms up (and realises that treats aren’t a mandatory part of your friendship), her true self emerges. She becomes an affectionate, social girl who loves engaging with her human friends. You’ll wonder how she ever managed to seem shy in the first place!
If you’re looking for a cat who will reward your patience with endless love and snuggles, Precious is the one. She’s proof that sometimes, the quietest hearts are the most full of love.
Precious is best to live in a household that is calm & quiet as she is sensitive to noise.
Precious is open to meet kids of any age, as long as they're aware that she may need some time to settle into her new home before they get to see her true personality.
Precious is not a huge fan of being picked up, wanting all for paws on the ground, she'll squirm a little too. She prefers to receive your love from the comfort of her bed. She loves pats & cuddles, she will purr, roll over with content & make biscuits to show you how happy she is.
Unfortunately, we cannot test if Precious would be suitable to live with dogs. This would be up to the discretion of her new owners.
Precious previously lived with other cats, so we encourage her new owners (if they have existing cats) to do a slow & gradual interaction to give them the best chance to get along.
We always encourage cats to be indoor cats. Precious will be a little too gentle for outside living. Plus, if she is outside, it will increase her chances of running away, getting lost, injured, or worse. As an inside only cat she can be safe & sound & live her best life.
Precious has low energy levels. She seems a little unsure at first when toys are offered to her but enjoys wands toys, specifically wand toys with feathers.
Precious is usually quiet, but may get a little vocal, this usually happens when you stop patting her...
Precious likes food & is not fussy & she also always uses her litter tray too.
Staff Comments: Precious is such a sweet little purr machine. She is always making biscuits and rolling over in her bed for pats. She absolutely adore attention from people.

With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as flawless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories. Most left in the shelter by their owners. The information we receive is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks will surface during this time. All that we ask is that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
So please keep in touch with us after adoption so that we can help you settle your new family member in and address any unexpected behaviours.
