About Floyd
Our adorable grandpa “Floyd” is looking for his home.
Floyd is the sweetest and most gentle fella. He loves people and getting lots of pats and cuddles. He has amazing manners and the best puppy dog eyes you will ever find. Floyd is a true gentleman and an absolute pleasure to have in foster care. You will fall deeply in love with Floyd, its inevitable!
Floyd loves a couch cuddle, playing fetch with a ball, going for a walk, rides in the car, and basically being treated like a royal grandpa. He knows how to sit, has beautiful food manners, is house trained, is good with other dogs, and good with all people.
We do need to talk about Floyds bad habit of eating socks or small soft items (not toys) that may be laying around the house. Yes, our grandpa isn’t perfect (who is). For this reason, we think it best he does not go to a family with kids as the risk of Mr sock eater coming across such an item will be higher and a danger to him. We think Floyd would make an amazing companion dog and would love a home with an older person or couple without kids.
Floyd loves routine and at bedtime will excitedly trot to his bed which is currently in his human’s bedroom. There he sleeps all night and waits for his person to wake and take him out for toilet and then have a little bit of breaky. Floyd has a sensitive tummy so his current diet of prime 100 is best to stick to (and he loves it) He will need grooming every 6 to 8 weeks so you will need to consider this cost prior to applying. Floyd has recently had all blood work and teeth done and is in very good health.

• You have a secure yard.
• Floyd will not be alone for more than 5hrs.
• You will allow Floyd to be part of the family and will allow him access to indoors with you.
• You WILL provide him with daily exercise AND mental stimulation.
Applications with extensive details on the lifestyle you will offer will be considered. Please provide the experience you have with the poodle breed.

Our adoption process is as follows:
1) Animal is listed on PetRescue
2) Applications are received
3) The application which we feel offers the best-suited home to the pet is contacted for first preference of a meet and greet to see if they 'click' with the animal.
We do not follow a first-in, first-served process and only consider applications completed via our online form.
Due the popularity of some dogs - and the fact that our rescue is run entirely by volunteers - we cannot guarantee that all unsuccessful applicants will be notified, however we will do our best.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
