About Athena
Athena came from a larger litter in AVON VALLEY. She is a typical puppy—Energetic, excitable, licky, and affectionate. She's not due for her 2nd vacc until mid December, so has not been walked outside yet or exposed to other dogs/animals.
She LOVES meeting new people, doesn't know the meaning of personal space yet, and will jump up and try to lick people as much as possible. While not aggressive in the slightest, she can sometimes nip in her excitement. Combine this with her high energy and SAFE is recommending older kids only for now.
She loves anything she can play with or chew on. Kongs are great – mostly for the food inside but also as a chew toy when empty. She loves playing tug of war with ropes or fabric (or anything)! She enjoys stuffed toys and tearing them apart. Antler/Goat horns are a real favourite—her first go-to option. Squeaky toys and tennis balls are also a hit.
Athena has only recently been separated from her sibling Ava (just adopted). Athena is the more adventurous & curious of the two. An energetic and affectionate dog, she enjoys exploring new places and trying new things. She would do well with someone that gives her lots of attention, company, and patience, who is energetic and likes to play with her. She does still jump up, lick, & nip in her excitement but never in an aggressive manner. This adventurer/explorer is always eager for attention and playtime. Smart and adaptive, she can also be naughty at times. She might have a bit of mountain goat/ninja in her, as she likes to get up on any surface that she can – tables, beds, tops of couches etc.
Athena is fine travelling in the car, although to date she’s always been in a travel crate. While not yet perfect, she has made major strides with her toilet training. If you have questions re toilet training, we can definitely help!
