About Captain Feathersword
Meet our energetic and adorable 12-month-old Staffy cross boy!
Captain Feather sword has got plenty of wiggle in him-especially when he's doing zoomies-so if you're looking for a fun-loving companion, he's your guy.
His enthusiasm is infectious, and he's ready for some adventures. He may take a little time to warm up to new people, but once he does, he's a loyal and affectionate friend.
This lovely boy would thrive in a home with kids aged 6 or older who can match his energy and give him the attention he craves. He also enjoys the company of other small to medium-sized, social dogs, so he'd love a furry sibling to play with, and he has lived with a dog-savy cat in the past. He's just waiting to find a family that can offer him the love, patience, and playtime he deserves.
Are you ready to make this little wiggle machine a part of your family? Ei ei, Captain! 🐾
To book a meet and greet with Captain Feather Sword please phone 5441-2209 or email barcreception@bendigo.vic.gov.au . Due to the high volume of emails received, enquiries with a request for a specific appointment with phone details included will receive a response as priority over generic applications which state they are interested in meeting an animal.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
