About Charlie
Meet Charlie
Charlie is a sweet and cheeky diva, one of a litter of 6 orphaned kittens dumped on someone's driveway. They were subsequently placed in DCH care.
Charlie is the smallest amongst her siblings and was often bullied by them when they were all about 4 weeks old. However, as she has gotten bigger, she has been able to defend herself more, giving as good as she gets, thereby earning the respect of her siblings.
She had trouble at the start. The vet believes she was pulled away from her mama too young. Charlie struggled to eat and drink and was quite fussy, only eating cooked chicken with rice. However, she slowly transitioned to Di-Vetelact and then Black Hawk kitten wet food and eats with gusto. She is becoming more open to trying new foods as she gets older but her new family will need to be a bit patient with her.
She is the friendliest kitten you will ever meet. She loves meeting new people and will demand cuddles and caresses if you don't look busy. She zooms up cat trees and loves to wrestle with her siblings (especially now that she is nearly as big as they are). She will also curl up on your lap and sleep hard. Her favourite place is in the crook of your neck or your chest as you watch tv.
She is fussy with her food, prefering to eat Black Hawk kitten wet food (chicken flavour), or cooked chicken and rice, but she gets hungry every 4-5 hours so she will let you know it is mealtime when she meows at you and follows you into every room until her food is in front of her. She enjoys playing with kitten toys (balls, feathers and plushies are her favourites). She is litter-trained on sand and pellets. She respects clothes, shoes and furniture.
Charlie is microchipped and has received her first vaccination. She has never had fleas or worms while under DCH care. She will be ready to join her forever family from 9 December 2024 (at 8 weeks old). If you are looking for an affectionate, sweet, cuddly kitten who will be loyal to you for life, and if you have the patience to accommodate her temperament (she is a kitten who knows what she wants and won't settle for anything less), then Charlie would love to meet you. You won't regret it.
