Chance

Meet Chance, an incredibly loving and loyal Shepherd x mastiff canine friend who has earned himself the name Second "Chance" - Chance landed his paws at PPI via a late night rescue where community members had reported a gentle dog wandering up and down a rural dirt road for days (perceived to be dumped) PPI vollies sprung into action and went and collected him , sadly nobody ever came forward for this beautiful boy , as his microchip wasn’t updated he was still labelled “Puppy 5” he was named chance - “second chance” -
Through his gentle spirit and eagerness to find a new, caring family. This big-hearted dog has a cuddly nature that will capture your affection from the very first meeting. Due to his past trauma of being abandoned Chance would suit a family who is home more often than not.

Chance aka Murph was adopted late 2024 but is being rehomed at no fault of his - it’s been described that he deserves someone that can give him what he needs. We asked his current family to provide 5 positive points about Murph/ Chance:

-He is a very happy boy, content to hang out in the yard with his favourite squeaky toy and show you how high he can throw it.
-Very good with people of all sizes. He captures everyone’s heart that he meets, including my niece and young kids in our street.
- Loves to be close to his humans. He will follow you through the house and keep you company while doing basic chores.
-A cuddly boy. He loves to sit back on his hind legs and cuddle with both his front paws.
-Responds well to training. Will sit, drop, wait, leave when it comes to food or his toy as a motivator (provided this is in a controlled environment away from distractions)

Chance is initially reserved/ shy but becomes adaptable and would thrive as an only dog or just as easily share his space with a submissive female dog. His experiences have only reinforced his loving nature and desire for companionship. While he may have had a tough beginning, he has boundless love to give and is waiting for an owner who can match his warmth and devotion.
