Sylvia

Sylvia, or Syl as she is called in her foster home, is a gorgeous silver tabby girl with a a lot of personality to match her good looks. In Syl's carer's words: "I don't even know where to begin describing her."

Initially cautious, like any smart cat, gorgeous Syl prefers to take her time to feel safe and comfortable, however the bond she then forms with those who earn her trust is very rewarding. Her love for human food, especially treats like chicken and meat, makes her easy to engage with and is a great way to build a connection with her.

You will see in the pictures that Syl loves cozy spots and sunny windows. Whether it's a window hammock or ducted heating vent for warmth on a cold day, she knows how to make herself comfortable and loves the comforts living with humans provides.

Syl is great with other cats and needs a feline friend in her new home. She gravitates toward larger or more laid-back cats and would be a wonderful companion for a cat who is feeling a bit lonely. She has lived harmoniously with up to eight cats and kittens, as well as a respectful child. She has handled even a boisterous young dog, and naturally took on the role of the boss in that relationship, teaching the dog how to interact with cats better than any human could.

Syl is a girl who will thrive in the care of a patient and experienced adopter. Her ideal home is with someone who understands cat behavior and enjoys learning to interact on her terms. She communicates her boundaries clearly through her cat language. Once she feels safe and respected, Syl’s great personality begins to shine.

Syl is looking for a calm home with experienced cat owners who allow her the time she needs to thrive. She needs at least one friendly cat as a companion. She is happy to live with friendly dogs and respectful children and will make sure everyone knows her boundaries.
