My name is now Jake and this is my story.
I once had a home and a family, once. I thought they loved me and we were to be together forever. Well that’s what I thought . What my “family” thought was obviously different. When they moved away , they moved away without my sister and I. Just like we meant nothing to them.
My sister and I were found by the rangers and taken to the pound. Can you image that? From a home, to no one, to the pound. Next thing I know we were put on the euthanasia list. Now this is where life turns around. My sister and I were rescued , taken from the pound and put in a van for the long drive to a new life. A new start.
Now here I am in my foster home, I am now Jake and I am lapping up life. I live happily with everyone else here, even a couple of dogs. I do have to say my canine foster brothers are cat savvy, they don’t bother me and I don’t bother them.
I am teaching my foster mum that when I meow it’s time to give me some love in the form lots of pats and cuddles. I must be a good teacher as my foster mum has caught on very quickly and I am getting much love which I am delighted with. I am a big boy and I have lots of fur so I will need regular brushing to keep me looking gorgeous .
Now where do I go from here ? I don’t mind making the move from my foster family to my very own family, but I want that family to love and care for me forever, as I will them. No more abandonment, no more pounds, and no more euthanasia lists again for me EVER !
