About Bejay
Introducing Beejay! Looking for a handsome goofy dude to join your family. Stop and read about our gorgeous scruffy boy Meet Beejay, a charming 1-year-old Wolfhound and Labrador mix eager to become your new best friend!
He is only a med size at 34 kilos so more the Labby side in his size ..
This affectionate and playful pup is still young and learning the ropes but is eager to grow into the perfect companion with your love and guidance.
Favorite Activities
Beejay’s two greatest loves are cuddles and food! He finds joy in snuggling up on the couch with you or savoring a delicious treat (though he’s not easily distracted when out and about!).
At home, he’s a relaxed companion who enjoys lounging with his humans and soaking up all the affection he can get. Beejay also loves his daily walks and is getting more comfortable with car rides, steadily gaining confidence as a passenger!
Human Interaction
Beejay is a people-loving pup who enjoys being part of the action. Whether it’s cozying up for a movie night or following you around the house, he’s a loyal and affectionate friend. He gets excited around visitors and will greet you with enthusiasm when you return home—tail wags are guaranteed! Due to his size and occasional bursts of energy, Beejay is best suited to a home without small children.
Training and Obedience
Beejay has learned some basic commands like sit and wait. We suggest a local obedience club and training would be the perfect way to help him develop his skills. He walks well in calm environments but can become over excited and distracted, especially around other dogs, and needs an owner dedicated to consistent training to help him focus. While Beejay loves treats, he’s not always food-motivated during walks, so positive reinforcement is essential during training.
Social Skills with Animals
Beejay is an excitable young boy who is working on his social skills outside the home. We have found he is best walked on a slip lead as he can be a little strong as he is a strapping young lad. He can get a little focused on other dogs and doesn’t like dogs running over to him and being in his face as it makes him anxious so he will need some work in this department. He has been fine with slow introductions. We are looking for an only dog home until he matures a little more in his social skills.. One on one introductions so he can enjoy calm interaction, no dog parks !! We do seek an experienced owner with large dog experience While he’s well-behaved at home, his new family will need to help him stay calm when meeting canine friends. With slow, positive introductions and consistent reinforcement, Beejay has the potential to thrive in social settings. He hasn’t been tested around cats and other small animals.
Food Enthusiasm
Beejay is a food enthusiast! He loves snacks and mealtime, which makes training at home easier. While he’s polite about his food indoors and doesn’t beg or steal during human meals, he may need supervision with high-value treats to ensure he remains calm and well-mannered
. Independence Beejay is naturally a cuddlebug and thrives when he’s around his people. While he’s still learning to be independent, with patience and consistency, he’ll settle comfortably when left at home. He does spend time alone a few days a week,
Sleep, and Toilet Training Beejay is fully house-trained and sleeps soundly in his own bed at night. He’s also great during bath time and doesn’t mind a good scrub to keep him looking and feeling his best. He is well toilet trained, with only a few accidents when he first arrived, which is to be expected.
Exercise
Needs Beejay enjoys his daily walks and would love a family who can continue exploring the great outdoors with him. Whether it’s a neighborhood stroll or a romp in the backyard, Beejay is happiest when he’s active and spending quality time with his people.
Ideal Home Beejay is ready to fill your life with laughter, love, and plenty of cuddles! Beejay is seeking a patient, loving family who will help him become the best version of himself. A home with a secure yard, plenty of time for training, and no small children under 10 due to his bouncy nature. A family that is experienced in large breed dogs and willing to put effort into his training while he is young to bring out the best of him No apartment or small yards will be considered Could Beejay be the furry friend you’ve been waiting for? Come meet this sweet boy and see for yourself!
We will go through his training on walks and provide a training plan
