About Fruity, the tiny greyhound
If you are interested in Fruity, or any of our Greyhounds, we require you to fill in our application form - https://forms.gle/3bTG6XWQv49RPxJV6
Fruity, as her name suggests, is a character! This sweet 3 year old girl as so small in size but big in personality! She loves affection, however, at first she is so shy that she is in a battle between running to you for pats and running away because she is nervous. Once she gets over that, she loves sitting with you on the couch and demanding cuddles.
Size wise, she must have been the runt of the litter, she is only a little bigger than the whippet - see photos for comparison!
Fruity is also very independent when she needs to be! When left alone, or when fur mum is working in the home office, she finds herself the best bed in the house and just snoozes the day away!
She has a bladder of steel and has not had one toilet accident, but let's not jinx that. Fruity is walking well on the lead after an initial overexcitement - this will all settle down with time.
Currently she is living with 2 other greyhounds and a whippet and she is very respectful with them, even when the crazy whippet puppy is trying to wind her up!
Fruity sleeps through the night in a crate, but she doesn't necessarily need one as she never gets herself in trouble when left outside the crate. It just helps contain four dogs in one bedroom at night.
Fruity is so easy going and if you are a patient person that lets her come out of her shell slowly, she would adapt to most living situations. Apartment or house, it doesn't really matter - as long as you can shower Fruity with love!
At Homeward Bound Hounds, we pride ourselves on matching the right dog to the right family. We need to know more about you and your home to find the best possible match.
