Meet Freda – A Gentle Soul Ready to Heal

Freda is a quiet, reserved ginger mama who has known more heartache than most. She came to HVAFARC from a overcrowded property with over 50 cats, bringing along her four tiny babies. Heartbreakingly, her kittens didn’t survive — a loss Freda still feels deeply. But despite everything, she remains hopeful that her forever family is still out there.

Though shy at first, Freda’s gentle and playful nature begins to shine once she feels safe. With time and patience, she’ll show you her soft side — the one that purrs when spoken to gently and plays when no one’s watching. She gets along well with other cats and calm dogs, and would thrive in a peaceful, understanding environment.

Freda needs a calm, quiet home with people experienced with nervous cats and comfortable letting her come out of her shell at her own pace. She’s not used to being handled and will need time to build trust — but once she does, the bond will be incredibly special.
