Meet Barbara – A Gentle Mama Ready for Her Turn

Barbara is a sweet, gentle tortoiseshell mama with a heart as big as her family. She arrived at HVAFARC from a property overcrowded with more than 50 cats, bringing along her six precious kittens. Despite her difficult start, she poured everything into raising her babies — and now that they’ve all been adopted, it’s finally her time.

Naturally shy, Barbara’s true warmth and affection begin to shine when she feels safe and secure. She’s looking for a quiet, patient home with someone experienced in caring for nervous cats — someone who will give her the time and space she needs to come out of her shell at her own pace.

Barbara gets along well with other gentle cats and calm dogs, and she would do best in a peaceful household where she can truly settle and be cherished.
