Meet beautiful 6.5 year old Alexa, a long stock coat German Shepherd that is just as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. Due to no fault of her own, Alexa finds herself looking for a new forever home, like her technological counterpart, Alexa can do many things, but for this, she needs our help!
Alexa is a gorgeous, affectionate girl that just wants to be loved and give all her love to someone special, she is cuddly and sweet, friendly to everyone she meets and exudes the true loyalty of a classic German Shepherd. Alexa hasn’t lived with children previously, she has always been friendly with small visitors, but she does get very excited initially and will jump up to give them lots of kisses. Alexa may be able to live with dog savvy children over the age of 5.
Alexa is carrying some extra winter weight, too many treats and not enough exercise has resulted in Alexa being a little heavier than she should be. With the right diet, and regular exercise, she will soon get back to her ideal weight. Alexa’s beautiful coat will need regular brushing and grooming to keep her looking her best.
Alexa is very cheeky and playful; she loves to play keepings off with her toys and is desperate for humans to chase her and play with her. Alexa hasn’t been getting out much lately and is spending most of her time confined to the outside yard, she would love an active family that will include her in adventures and games.
Alexa knows her basic commands but hasn’t had them reinforced much lately, she would do well with some further training to fine-tune her skills, especially her leash manners as she currently pulls like a train to every smell she can find. Alexa is motivated by both treats and toys and would love to engage with positive reinforcement training with her new family.
Alexa has not had much exposure to other dogs, she gets overstimulated when she sees them out on a walk at a distance; when up close, she is unsure and panics, she will bark, lunge and growl to scare them away. Right now, Alexa needs to avoid other dogs and practise keeping calm when they are in sight, this is something that will need to be worked on overtime, the help of a trainer to understand Alexa’s cues and thresholds would be highly beneficial for both Alexa and her owner.
Alexa does not want to live with cats or other small pets, as she would like to chase them.
Alexa is a true queen waiting to find her perfect kingdom and her loyal subjects, she would love to have her very own bed in the home, couch privileges would also be to her liking! Alexa exudes the perfect amount of sass, cheekiness, goofiness and affection to make the best friend you could ever ask for.

Adoption details
We offer a 'Foster to Adopt' program. This means that the dog will go to live with their adoptive family for 4 weeks to ensure it is the perfect match for both the dog and new family. After the 4 weeks is complete, if all has gone well, the adoption is formalised and your new doggy companion is officially yours!
If you are interested in adopting from us, we ask that you fill out the Adoption Application form on our website (via the link provided below) with as much detail as possible, including the name of the dog you are interested in.
We do not rehome female dogs to a home where there is an existing female dog. Whilst there are always exceptions, it is generally unwise to have two females together; two males can sort it out, a male and a female can sort it out, but when two females fight, the results can be disastrous. For this reason, following the advice from numerous Veterinary behaviourists, as well as our own experience from the last eight years, we do not rehome females into homes with other female dogs.
All of our dogs are de-sexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm treated
Puppies (2 months to 4 months) - $1000
Puppies (4 to 6 months) - $800
Adolescents (6 months to 1 year) - $700
Mature (1 year to 6 years) - $600
Senior (7 years plus) - $350
