A sweet, smart girl who loves cuddles, belly rubs and sunbaking. She loves to play with her sister and resident dogs. She has a lovely temperament and is quite independent, happy to curl up and sleep while things are going on around her. Izo is very quiet in the house, only barking in response to resident dogs or if she hears something in the garden.

On brief excursions outside the house, she has excitedly reacted to people and dogs but is confident on the lead/harness and around bikes and cars. She is currently being trained using a training collar and is responding well.

Izo is very relaxed in the car and just lays down and rests. She is very intelligent and will benefit from puppy school and further dog training. She sits, waits, allows her nails to be clipped and her teeth and ears checked. Teeth brushing is not yet successful. She is well mannered while waiting for food and is house-trained and uses the dog door. Izo sleeps inside but is not crate trained. Until recently, she slept in a restricted space and used puppy pads overnight, but she now has access to a dog door and will toilet outside.

Izo is one of the lucky six puppies who survived a parvo infection and does not seem to have suffered any lasting gastrointestinal issues but is still on the skinny side.

This poor start to life, combined with late vaccination and subsequently being restricted to a house and backyard for the past few months, means she is looking for owners that have the patience and commitment to teaching her about big wide world and how to interact in it.

Given Izo’s temperament, she will make a wonderful, loving family dog.
